It was a cool night for a cruise but no rain and a
comfortable night for our 103 cruisers that showed up. We had one
Checkered flag winner that did not collect his flag.
Some cruisers that haven't been here for awhile showed up.
We want to welcome Tom back. He is recovering from an operation on his
leg. It is good to see him back on block 4 again. We also had 4 Dukes on
the A & W corner tonight. We had Angel & Mark joining Jim & Craig. They
sure sounded good. They have a good following here now.
Andy was here, as usual, with his 1979 Blue Coupe deVille,
Cadillac. He bought this car new and only has 42,000 miles on it. It
still is a beautiful car and appraised for more than twice what he paid
for it. Good investment. Also he had his beautiful granddaughter Halli
with him tonight. We welcome Halli to our cruise.
Greg Jones came down from Clermont with his 1974 AMC
Gremlin. He is a fairly regular Friday Night Cruiser. This car is a 40
series with a 258--- 6 cylinder engine to power it. Which is plenty. We
had a 70 Gremlin ourselves, so we know they are a very nice car. Gregg's
is Trans Am red, and in very good shape and Gregg has owned this car for
6 years. Good job Gregg. Our Cruise-a-matic still stands at $1,000.00.
