The Friday Nite Cruise
At Old Town
West Highway 192
Kissimmee, Florida

June 9th

The 8th Anniversary of the "Friday Nite Cruise"

We arrived at Old-Town around 10 o'clock Friday morning and one other cruiser was waiting in line. Shortly after Wolfman showed up, then Richard and Joe. By 4 o'clock we were looking for parking spaces for our cruisers, waiting to get their pictures taken and get on the streets of Old-Town. The time pasted quickly as we set under the oak tree and exchanged stories with all our cruising buddies. At 5 o'clock sharp they started taking our pictures and we settled into our parking spaces for the evening. Our little group decided on Fred's Sports Grill for our evening meal. Doug even joined us later. As usual the food was great and plenty of it. Fred and Randy welcomed us at the door and all the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. If you have not tried it yet, we recommend it.

By 8:30 we had our 187 cruisers for our anniversary. We wamt to thank Old-Town and all who are responsible, our merchants, staff, and all who sponser us. We had 8 flag winners tonight and many extra prizes. They tried very hard to give away the cruise-o-matic tonight but to no avail. At least 17 numbers were picked but the grand prize still stands at $1,000. This is our first night without Mike and things went very well. We still think we have a
great staff, capable of running many more great cruises.

One thing we finally accomplished, we will now have a Friday Night Cruiser of the month. Thank you staff. We were very privileged and surprised to be picked for the very first Friday Night Cruiser of the month. Never thought our Thunderbird would reach that status. We want to thank all who are responsible for this honor, and to all our friends at Old-Town.

Bert Brown is still in the hospital, he has had one toe amputated and could be more. Chuck is in the same hospital. at Osceola Regional, Bert's room is 451 and Chucks is 359. Please pray for them, and maybe stop in to see them. On the brighter side Stan and Mary Ann came back from Hawaii and passed out many lei's to their cruising friends. Thanks a lot for your thoughtfulness.

The T-Birds were on stage and no Dukes on the corner. The cruise was great but we had to detour around a fire near Orange Lake, off 192 in order to get home. We hope not too much damage was caused by the fire. Next week things will be back to normal and we hope to see you all then.
