The Friday Nite Cruise
At Old Town
West Highway 192
Kissimmee, Florida

June 16th

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN and plenty of it for about three hours. It looked like our cruise could be flooded out and then shortly after six it cleared up and by 9 o'clock the streets had dried up enough for a beautiful cruise down the streets of Old-Town. For those three hours, we had tourist wading up to their ankles and carrying their shoes. I also was one of them.

As you know, our Thunderbird is the First Friday Night Cruiser of the Month. Well, between the heavy rain and this being the first Friday for Cruiser of the Month, we had a little confusion getting parked in the right position. Joe came by and straightened that out in record time. After the rain all went very well for the rest of the cruise. We had 76 beautiful cruisers to run the streets of  Old-Town. Not bad for a threatening night after so much rain. Snafu was
the band on stage. The Dukes, to our amazement, were on the A & W corner. Angel and Mark were also out tonight. We got them to sing several songs with Jim and Craig. We had a full quartet tonight for awhile. They always draw a crowd and are very pleasing to listen to. Thanks Dukes for keeping the old songs alive. Well he done it again. Mr. Pontiac walked off with the 50/50. Only $28.00 but that is better than nothing. Our little gang ate at Flippers. Our favorite server, Annette, smiling as usual, treated us very well.
We don't have any official news about Bert and Chuck. They are both still in the hospital as of now, but remember to keep these two in your prayers and we hope them a speedy recovery. Our Cruise-O -Matic still stands at $1,000. No winner tonight.

Thanks to our staff for getting us a Cruiser of the Month for Friday and for a
few other improvements. Thanks a lot, you all are doing a fine job. Keep up the good work. Next week will be better yet. See you all at Old-Town next week.
