Despite threading weather
all around, we had a dry and very nice night for our 76 cruisers that showed up.
The weather was a little cool, but not bad. A light coat was all you needed.
Samantha Stahl, a first time cruiser, but a friend of cruisers, Debbie and
James Martnick came out with her 2005 Scion XB, made by Toyota. A very
practical vehicle. Getting well over 30 miles to the gallon. Not a bad looking
vehicle. Samantha belongs to a scion club. Also Felix Santana, from Davenport,
brought out his 1978 Scorpion, Yes, I said Scorpion. It is a hand made kit on a
Volkswagen frame. Made in Connecticut. Felix is in a Scorpion club with only 7
members at this time. This one is bright red and has a removable top to make it
a convertible. A neat car.
Also, we want to welcome
Ray Kissel back, with his 2004 Civic Honda. Ray, was trying his new job, with
Tags With Class, at Old-Town. Good luck Ray.
Gerald with his 1979
Pontiac, had a close call tonight. As he pulled into Old-Town, almost lost his
front wheel. He had lost 3 lug nuts, and one of the other 2 were loose. With a
little help from Doug, they got it tightened up with 3 bolts. Gerald decided to
make it home that way. We sure hope he makes it. Good luck Gerald.
Hope you all have a nice
week.
