It was a lovely night for a cruise but it sure was hot. We
got to Old-Town fairly early but Buzz always is early so he can get his favorite
spot (in the center of Old-Town). Buzz had new blue led lights installed on his
truck. Got a good deal and could not resist the offer. Around 5 o'clock we had
our usual 8 cruisers in line. Block four got filled up with the regulars. It was
good to see Tom and Linda Spinello out. They came down to spend a week or so
here. Monday August 14, they will celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary.
Congratulations Tom and Linda. It is always good to have them cruise with us.
Stan had his daughter and her family out tonight. They were down
from Penna. and had to head back home tonight. They enjoyed looking at all the
cars. Ron had a little better news about his son. He still has a long way to go
but he is doing much better. We are reasonably sure he has no permanent brain or
heart damage. Thank God for that so please keep him in your prayers. We are
hoping for a speedy and full recovery.
Ike and Nancy were out in their 1977 Corvette. They haven't been
out for a few weeks. They also got lucky and took home a checkered flag.
Congratulations. Thanks to all the 108 cruisers that came out tonight.
Our 50/50 tonight was $107 which went to John Strode.
Congratulations John. Our Cruise-o-matic still stands at $1,000. Joe pulled 10
numbers and just can't give it away. Keep trying Joe.
