September 28th
More than 100 cars made
it to the lot by Cruise-In's end, many people that we haven't seen in a
while and even some new Cruisers. Even a few that wouldn't play nice. I
won't go into that. I am sure some of you may have seen me just a little
upset.
This great fall weather even brought out "Big Jim" and a
few others that are "Fair Weather Cruisers", always good to have them
back! After all the summers are just to hot and wet. Then there are
people like Linda & I. We just seem to always be here along with several
others. Tom & Edna had the 8 door Greenbrier out. Bert & "Ernie" didn't
make it to Indiana on the second try so they should be Cruising with us
as usual. If it wasn't for bad luck they may not even have had any luck
at all.
Welcome back to Bill who came out with John B and Dave &
Joan. Members of The Mid-Florida Corvette club that had more than 20
'Vettes in the Coral. Hot Rod row was filled with all of our favorite's,
Jimmy's Tudor, the "Scott Rod", "Wild Thing" and Mike Murray's roadster
to mention a few. Dan had the Willy's next to Ron's '37 Convertible up
on the Front Row.
Tony was recruiting convertibles for
Harmony's 4th
Annual "Dark
Sky Festival"
event on November 11th.
Our "Special Pickers" were once again Shelby & Ashley did
some more Dancing for us as well as a great job helping out in the
trailer. Just after a Fiery Sunset it was time for the closing of the
Cruise-In.
The light's are still not working in our end of the lot so
during the drawings it was a little hard to read the numbers. The 50/50
of $121 went home with the DeSotoVillians, Marsha had the winning
ticket. The Cruise-A-Matic rolls to $50 next week, Cruiser #211, Ed
Loman, wasn't out.
"Cruiser of the Week' went home in a '23 T-Bucket owned by
Cruiser #448, Chuck and Cindy Green.
Here are a few photos. The first ones are of a '69 Camaro
Yenko that made it's maiden voyage, with "Big John" that is to this
Cruise-In,
