"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

October 12th

Another Cold Front brought rain to Florida today, heavy in some spots but at the Sonic not a drop fell. The day started off very slowly because of this. Paul was the first to arrive, Tommy went to Jacksonville so he wasn't out tonight.

With the NSRA show in Tampa this weekend and the Eckler's show at Old Town many Cruisers have already headed out or still getting them just right for these venues and didn't come out tonight. Most of the "Regulars" were with us and many arrived later than normal once they saw it wasn't going to rain. Ron, Nicky "Bop", Tony & Marianne, Louie, our "Cruiser of the Month" were all in place. Ralph & Shirley, Bill & Doris Old Town regulars as well as Gary & Kathy Collins in their Fairlane, Kathy always said if she had a Thursday off she would come out. Good seeing you guys way down here!. Doc had the Old Spud truck out, Bob in his '36 Humpback and John in the Mustang. Ron had last minute obligations and couldn't come out tonight. Butch & Stephanie were out in the Torino. Larry, Cris and the "Kids" were out in the red GT. Gary & Wanda stopped in, Gary is recovering from a little foot surgery. Craig stopped out to see Ed the "Corvair Tour Guide", who wasn't out tonight, still real busy out at the "Institute".

I know I didn't mention everyone but then again I usually rely on my photos to help me write this story and tonight by the time the 50 cars came out it was to dark to get any. Chuck & Cindy rolled in in the T-Bucket just before 7:00, DeSotoVille didn't take shape until nearly 7:45.

Bob & John helped Mike in the trailer and we had Amber and TJ as the ticket pickers tonight, of course Nicky didn't like that because all the tickets started with 9, his favorite number!

Tony has a few signed up to go to the 7th Annual Vets Show in Clermont on the 5th of next month. We also have several convertibles for the Harmony "Dark Sky" event on the 11th. Ron will have his Caddy in the Veterans Day Parade representing this event.

Thank You to Marianne & Marie for shopping the prizes. Amber & TJ started to pick the tickets just after a few announcements and the "Cruiser of the Week" award that went home with Tony & Sharon DeBlasio, Cruiser # 726, in "Lucy", their '69 Ranchero. Cindy Green, Cruiser #448 had the winning ticket for the $95 50/50, she donated $20 to the newsletter, Thank You! Cruiser #257, Mike Bartoli wasn't out to claim the $75 Cruise-A-Matic, so next week it rolls up to $100.

Thanks to our supporters and sponsors and the Cruisers for another great night out.

Here is the only photo I took today. Yes it is Gary and Kathy's Fairlane GT.
