"Mustang Mike's"
Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In

In the Wal-Mart Parking Lot
Next to the Sonic Drive-In
Saint Cloud, Florida

November 16th

What a beautiful night, that cold front moved in and dumped a lot of rain over night into the noon hour, since then it has been cloudy breezy and cool. Most of the regulars made their way out, "Mustang Mike" celebrated his birthday tonight with us at the Cruise-In. Tony DeGennaro was also celebrating his birthday that is on Monday. Marianne had cake for us all to enjoy. Thanks. Steve Mc brought out his "Progress in Work", I know that seems backwards but he says it is the work that makes the progress, a 62 Corvair Monza. His "Rat" as he called it. It is his daily driver, to take a few miles of the Ranchero he has been driving. Dan and Liz rolled his newest "Toy" into the lot. A 32 Ford High Boy, Rat Rod with, what else, a Big Block. Larry brought out his '70 Chevy pickup, that he has already sold, it sold right after last nights Cruise-In. It will be headed for Sweden. Chuck had his neighbor, Randy, who also joined in with us tonight, bring out his '66 Ford F100 that was a long bed until he and Chuck shortened it up a total of 22". It is a great looking "Shortbed" now. He has plans to give the roof a bit of a trim in the near future. "Lucy", Tony & Sharon's '69 Ranchero came out tonight, the boo boo hasn't been fixed yet but she just had to Cruise. John, joined us with his first car. A really good looking '77 Olds Omega. It is good to see the younger generations interested in keeping some of this Automotive History on the road. He is 11 years younger than his car. Welcome new cruisers.

Of course Nicky "Bop" was out "Looking for an Echo" with his Coupe. Didn't like being in "Time Out" last week. Trevor had his car parked in it's place of honor. OK so he had Bill drive him out. They also brought a friend, Tony from the neighborhood. The 3 Stooges were in rare form tonight, Bob did take time to help with the ticket sales,  Marianne continues to try and keep Nicky quiet but it just don't work like that I guess. Even Louie was giving her a hand with it but he still yells "Stay out of the Nines". Oh well. Bob was seen in his '41 Buick, Ray in his Corvette, Ed & Sherry and Tony had their 'Vettes out too. Roger's Orange pick up has been back for few weeks, good having them back as well. Ed & Evelyn came out in their Daily Driver, Ed brought a much needed clutch return spring for our Corvair. I had a few of the "Corvair Junkyard Primers", hot off the press for him. The next few Cruises, only 1 left this month on the 30th and only 3 next month on the 1st, 8th & 15th will probably be a little smaller during the holiday season but we will be Cruising on those dates. Taking next week off at the "Square" and here at the Sonic. December will only have 3 dates here but a full schedule at the "Square".

Don't forget the "Cruisin For Kids" show at Old Town on December 2nd, this is a morning show, "Mustang Mike" will be the DJ. Then Sunday the 3rd the Holopaw Restaurant will have a car show from 3:00 to 6:00. "Mustang Mike" will be the DJ at this event too.

Tonight's drawing was for cash and food give a ways. Cara & Anna were Mike's assistants. The nearly 50 cars built the 50/50 to $72. Larry Robinson, Cruiser 583 had the winning ticket, He donated $22 back to the next Cruise-In.

It really was Bob Berube's, Cruiser, #622, night tonight, not only was he picked for "Cruiser of the Week", with his Orange '69 ss396 Chevelle, he took home the $200 Cruise-A-Matic". He also donated some of the proceeds to this newsletter.

Here are a few photos.
