Happy Birthday to Craig, the "Duke of New
Jersey", Yup yet another year older. We arrived at the Cruise-In just
after 4:00, I was surprised to see "Mustang Mike" roll in, we thought he
was going to be away for yet another day. I figured that "Jalopy Jim"
would be our MC tonight.
The weather was perfect for this weekly get together, even
saw a few cars we haven't seen out for a while. The West's had their
Duce Coupe up front by Dan & Liz. Almost all of the regulars were in
place. There was a Bake Sale for the Osceola under 19 Soccer Team that
is razing money for a trip to the meet in Georgia. Marianne also had her
famous "Rosettes" for all to sample. We placed a shopping cart in the
"Cruiser of the Week" spot, complete with trophy. Elaine is more
comfortable driving one of those than anything else. Neil also brought
out his Healey later, we did remove the cart so Elaine could park the
TR4. This is their last Cruise-In on a Thursday for this visit.
Ed & Evelyn were also spotted, sans their Cruiser, they ran
out of time on their shopping trip and it did not allow them time to
head home then back, Glad they came out. Ron & Shirley Hood were
circulating the latest "Grand Child' pictures. She should be in the
States from Beijing tomorrow, she was an 18 month old Chinese Orphan,
now she has a very large and loving American family to get to know.
There is just so much going on in this family, the family
known as the "Cruisers of Thursday Nite". I would like some stories from
any or all of you to publish ion this newsletter. I try to cover as much
as I can.
"Rocco" the newest Cruising Dog was out with Nicky "Bop",
he is a friendly little pup. Remembered most of the people he met last
week. Caitlin Rawlins, from Palm Bay, was not disappointed, she just
loves Mustangs and we had several for her to see. She came with her dad
tonight in their '66 2+2.
Our regular shoppers were not out tonight so most of the
50/50 prizes were cash. The grand prize drawing was for $125 and Neil
Wylie, Cruiser #559 had the winning ticket. He donated $20 to the
Cruise-In.
Tonight's "Cruise-A-Matic" of $75 was won by Cruiser #150,
Tony & Marianne DeGennaro.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Larry & Cris Day,
Cruiser #775. Tonight they had out the Red '91 Mustang GT. Larry said
next week he'll bring the '65 Mustang.
Here are a few Photos.
