Linda and I arrived a little earlier than usual today, we
had to drive through some heavy rain to pick up Alexis, our 5 year old
granddaughter from school, she was going to "Cruise" with us, as she has
done before and we did not have the time to go back home and run the
errands that we need to get done before Cruise time.
The early afternoon rain kept a lot of
Cruisers away tonight. We did have guests from Cape Coral, Bea & Bob in
their '60 Chevy Impala and Chris Rawlins with his '65 Mustang from Palm
Bay that registered with us for when they come back into town. Several
other cars that I have not seen in a while. Tony & Sharon brought out
Rocco a mixed breed puppy that wandered into their home a few days ago.
They thought about keeping him but Nicky "Bop" Manny and the rest of his
family just fell in love with the little pup. I am not sure if he will
keep that name or maybe he is the "Echo" that Nicky has been looking
for. So Rocco got a great new home, Nicky, you got the best prize
tonight.
The parking lot started to fill up a little slower than
normal but 60 cars did show up. Several "Regulars were out of town or
"Rained In" as the precipitation danced around us. We actually did not
get rained on so the Cruise-In was very good.
"Shopper of the Week", I mean "Cruiser of the Week" went
home with Elaine & Neil Wylie, #559, with her '62 Triumph TR4.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" of $50 would have gone home with Bill
& Claudia Burton, if they would have come out. So next week it rolls up
to $75.
The 50/50 of $90 went home with Bob Nagro, Cruiser #510 but
not before donating $10 to this newsletter, Thank You, Bob.
here are a few photos.
