June 8th
Hot but not so
humid, we arrived just after 4:00, Mike has already started to set up.
Looked like a great night for a Cruise-In. There wasn't nay chance for
rain but I am sure we still might have the chance for a "Sea Breeze"
rain yet today. But It's not allowed, I say. Ed had Sharon make a cake
for Evelyn's birthday that is tomorrow. I think she is going to admit to
40 this year. I think maybe she has celebrated the 39th a little to many
times. Anyway, it was a surprise. We welcomed 2 new Cruisers, Steve &
Mary with their '76 Pontiac Gran Prix and Doug with his '56 Chevy.
Stephanie brought out the "New" '72 Gran Torino, Butch, Larry and Cris
rode with here. The Ol' Dart is on it's way out of state.
Nicky "Bop" came back from Vegas not feeling to well, hope
he is OK. Bert is still in the Hospital as is "Duke" Thank You Cruisers
for signing the cards that were circulated.
Mike (N4HHA) stopped by for a bit but couldn't stay, just
to many service calls. It was good to so some that have not been out in
a while, Bill & pat will be headed back for Scotland very soon so this
was their last Cruise-In for a while. John was out with Bob and Ron, So
now Mike has to contend with the three of them at the Closing.
Steve had his Caddy right up front, Tony & Marianne
were out in the "Monte", Booby "G" had his '54 Chevy, good seeing
him on a Thursady, and Louie had the '52 Ford next to them. Lot's of
Mustangs, of course when the Kemp's are out, that nearly makes a Herd of
them. The Rawlins from Palm Bay came over in their Mustang, Caitlin
stayed home, she was preparing for her birthday tomorrow. "Doc" made it
out for the first time in a while, Cara would later assist "Mustang
Mike". Clint (WA8ART) had his Siler 'Vette out tonight. Hot "Rod Row"
had lots of cars in it. "Wild Thing", Jimmy's A. Scott had his rod back
there too. May of the "Rat Pack", were lined up along 192, sporting
their new "Rat Pack Car Club" shitrs. Dan had Liz's Buick parked next to
Bob's Camaro. It was a small but very good Cruise. Lot's of spectators
roamed amongst the cars.
"Lucky Louie" had the winning ticket for the $87 50/50,
guess we broke Al's winning streak. Louie gave $20 back to next weeks
Cruise-In.
If Cruiser # 660, Dennis Ross would have came out he would
have been $75 richer, he wasn't, Awwww. so Next week there is $100 in
the "Cruise-A-Matic"
Cruiser #59, the Original Mr.& Mrs. DeSoto, Gordon & Lila
Matthews went home with "Cruiser of the Week" and next week is his
Birthday!
