A typical summer day here in paradise,
afternoon thundershowers plaguing our part of Central Florida, then to
top things off there was a car parked right in the center section of the
parking area where Mike sets up his trailer. That and the fact that it
was raining all over the place, except right in this parking lot, this
was causing a slow start to tonight's event.
Tommy and Paul were the first to arrive with Ron in the '58
DelRay not far behind. Then Tony & Marianne. Doc had the S-10 out
tonight. Bob left the Camaro at home, roads were too wet to bring out
that "Black Beauty". Bill was under the tree with his '81 Blazer. Butch
& Stephanie came in just after Tony & Sharon and joined us over at the
Sonic for something to eat. All & Agie came out in their Daily driver,
they will be going up north for a few weeks on vacation, Have fun you
two!
Tony & Marlene and Ed & Sherry were out in their 'Vettes.
Laura & Steve had their red and white '61 'Vette out for the first time
in a while. Laverne "Ernie" stopped by with the latest on Bert. He is
doing well and missing the gang.
Philip had a rare night off and joined in with us, in his
Camaro, brother Louie came out with out his '52 Ford. That is one of the
best tings about this bunch of people. It is more about the people than
the cars. Liz stopped out to pick up her back issues of the newsletter,
Dan is still in Michigan.
We had a couple of visitors from Kentucky selling a '57
Chevy and a '66 Falcon Ranchero, project cars on trailers. They joined
in on the nites games. Bob rolled in with one of his latest acquisition,
this one was an original 1941 Buick 4 door, 56k on the clock!
Great looking car.
Jim & Dana entertained us tonight as promised, this brought
several "Guests" out to hear them sing, Thank you guys!
Just after the National Anthem and "Cruiser of the Week"
presentation, we had a moment of silence for our friend "Duke".
With only 25 cars the spectators and the "out of towners"
we had $144 in the 50/50 was $144. Dana helped out as guest "picker"
tonight. "Frick" Bob, who's '36 Ford is still being "Enhanced" helped
with the ticket sales. Don't know where "Frack" Ron was tonight, still
out spending his winnings from last week?
It was one of the "Out of Towners" that had the winning
ticket fro the $144.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Chris, Donna & Caitlin
Rawlins of Palm Bay in their '65 Mustang 2+2, they have been making the trek over almost every
week for the past several months.
Cruiser #51, Joe & Debbie Williams weren't out tonight so
next week the "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $50
Here are a few photos.
