February 16th
Over 90 cars made it
out on this beautiful day. Winter has left us for at least a day or 2.
Trevor, "The Cruising Dog", had visitors with him tonight, Bill &
Jeannette Azar of Toms River
NJ. His Grandparents, I mean Bill's parents. "Jalopy Jim", better known
as the "Duke
of Boston", Jim Rich filled in again tonight for "Mustang Mike" who
was at an important conference.
We had a few more "Snowbirds" join us again tonight, Bill
Ash from Brampton, Ontario, Canada had his '63 Pontiac Parisienne
convertible out tonight. Would have made it last week but he needed to
replace the carburetor, it took a few days to get one. Don Pry was out
with his '32 Plymouth Coupe and parked with the guy's down in "Streetrod
Row".
Several new cruisers joined up with us tonight, Clay had
his Quick Silver '59 Corvette with us for the 2nd time. Scott sure did a
good job putting this one back together, Clay has owned this car since
the mid 70's.
Tom & Edna Adams brought out the '66 Corvair, good to see
the two of you out! Of course the two "Grumpy Old Men" Bob & Ron were
down on Corvair Lane with the '70 Monte Carlo and '36 Ford. Barbra Vliet
was out for the first time after the knee replacement.
I wish I had the memory to mention everyone that made it
out tonight, I sure would like to thank all that came for coming out.
The winner of the "The Dukes" trivia question and winner of
the "Beef O'Bradys" $10 Gift Certificate was Ed Malloy, Cruiser #618. I
did not get the name of the $115 50/50 I just know he came out with Bill
Lamping tonight, He gave back $20 towards next weeks prize booty.
The $25 "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $50 for next week,
Cruiser #472, Robert Manley wasn't with us tonight, Awwwwww.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to Bill Lamping, Cruiser #213,
with his 1972 Chrysler Newport. Lucky car took home the $$$ and the
Trophy.
Here are a few photos I managed to get in.
