December 7th
A chilly day and then a
bit cold but nearly 60 cars made it out. The regulars including Louie in
the '52, Tony & Marianne, Bert & Ernie, Bill & Trevor were in the first
row in front of the trailer. The night started off slowly but then a few
more cars came out, Larry & Barbra had the '48 Chevy coupe out. John had
his Suzuki parked in the second row, Down in Hot Rod Row, were Mike in
his Street Rod, Roger in that great Orange Chevy pickup. Jimmy, who sold
his street rod a while back still comes out to visit. Paul & Tommy were
at the top of the row, Jean, still waiting for her car to be finished,
was in the circle of chairs with them. Bill was out in his original '81
Blazer. Jim & Shirley Crawford in the F-85.
Across from them were the 3 Stooges. After tonight Bob & Ron will be
back to being, "Ben & Willard", John & Jennifer Robinson
are headed back to Guernsey later this week. Chris drove
his '65 Mustang Fastback over from Palm Bay, he will be attending night
school on Thursday's for a while and won't make it back for a while. He
might join us on a Wednesday. "Big" Jim was seen in his '67 Pro-street
Chevelle. Even a "Wookie" was spotted, still no Buick but his Mustang
was parked in the "Time Out" area usually occupied by Nicky "Bop".
Tom & Dianne in the '31 Ford Pickup. Larry in the same '70
Chevy pickup for the second week in a row, can you believe it? Tom, Kim
& Heather were seen in their El Camino. Tony & Sharon should be going
down to get "Lucy" tomorrow. The beautician said she is ready for
pickup. It was good seeing Don out in his 2+2 and Roy in his '55 Chevy,
they of course along with Ron in the Caddy guarded the "Front Gate".
"Big" John had out the Mustang GT convertible in his usual space, Bob
was parked next to him in the '41 Buick.
"Doc" & Cara had the old "Tater Truck" in it's place of
honor and both were beaming, especially since the timing of the article
he had given me coincided with the "Cruiser of the Week" award.
Bob, Dana & Anna were helping with the ticket sales and
Amber & Cara were the "Pickers" during the drawings.
Tony & Marianne DeGennaro, Cruiser #150 were chosen as the
"Mustang Mike Cruiser of the Month" for December. "Cruiser of the Week"
went home in Ron & Renee's '61 Cadillac. John Robinson had the winning
ticket for the $91 50/50, he donated $10 to this newsletter, Thank You!
The $50 Cruise-A-Matic would have gone home with Howard & Teresa Hawkins
but they didn't come out tonight. So, for our last Cruise-In of the year
$75 will be given away, we will draw until we have a winner.
Always a great time with Old Cars and good friends on a
Thursday Nite.
Here are a few photos that I managed to take.
