April 20th
More than 100 cars made
it out to the "Cruise-In" tonight. Several cruisers joined in for the
first time tonight. It is always nice to welcome friends that we have
cruised with at other venues.
Gordon & Lila came out in their new :'56 Desoto. Marsha lead them in her
'49. This made Paul very happy, ever since Tommy sold his Mopar his
DeSoto was the only '50's variety around. Tony & Marlene were out,
Marlene is still recouping from her surgery, she can really fly with
that cane, be careful though, she now has something to hit you with when
you get out of line.
Bob Berube brought out the Olds instead of the Camaro and
with Dan & "Big Jim" absent the front row looked a little strange.
Warrant had his '67 Yellow Corvair next to Don's "Spare" Mustang. John
Grali had his very rare '36 Ford Sedan, Convertible parked next to us.
Great looking car. On the other side of us was Ron & Shirley Hood in
their '53 Chevy. Tony & Sharon were in route to pick up "Lucy". Steve Mc
had the "Real Steel 27 " parked down in what used to be Corvaiville. Ed
is still getting over a nasty bout with the Flu, so not 1 Corvair down
there. Russ, Jimmy and Scott were set up in Street Rod Row.
The brothers Piazza, Tony & Marianne, the Azar's and Nicky
Bop had their regular spots. The Clarke's were also nearby. Ron will
loose his spot soon to the next Cruiser of the Month. That's OK I think
he has sold the DelRay.
Another night with good friends at the "Sonic", about 20
cars will be leaving this lot on Saturday morning 8:00 sharp for the
"Run to the River".
Ken Tilton Cruiser # 326 had the winning ticket for the
$140 50/50, he donated $20 to this newsletter, Thank You!
This weeks "Cruise-A-Matic" of $275 would have gone home
with Cruiser # 771, Doug Stewart, if he would have been out tonight.
Next week it rolls up to $275.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to Cruiser #12 Trevor, er, ahh..
Bill & Virginia Azar and their '29 Mercedes.
