October 25th
These are the Fall days we all look forward to each
year. Today's high never got about 73, it will be a little chilly for us
by the time the Cruise-In is over. 22 Cars made it out on this beautiful
night. "Big John" was out early but had to run off to a dinner he
promised his daughter for her birthday. Don M. was also out early and
ate with some of the gang. Neil & Elaine rolled the little Red Triumph
into the "Square" after a 5 month hiatus, well they were at their UK
home, they are back with us for a few weeks then thy are off to a
Mexican Vacation. Always good to welcome them back. Jack had Ole Yeller
out tonight. His latest acquisition, the Mustang is not quite ready to
come out yet. Charlie had the Caddy out as did Andy, Bert and "Ernie"
were in the Probe. Louie in the '52 Ford. Ron had his '56 Chevy. Brent &
Corinne were in the Mustang Convertible, The "Mustang Twins" only had
Paul's car out tonight.
Of Course the night was started off with the Arrival of
Paul & Tommy, they are usually the first to arrive. Bill had his Blazer
next to them. Ron A was showing off his new wheels on the Caddy. The
"Poinciana Kid" was out in his Camaro. Bob rolled in with his '68 SS396
Chevelle, we all have been waiting to see this one. Jim was out in his
GTO, Tony & Peggy Sue had their '67 Nova out. The "Wookie" had out the
"Ghoul Mobile". Of Course George rolled in last with the '61 Falcon that
has been in the family since it was new. I may have missed a few, I try
not to.
Al called with a little sad news about Ron Hood, he is in
the hospital with an apparent Heart Attack, not to many details at this
writing, all we know for sure is that he is headed for the Hospital in
Kissimmee tonight or tomorrow from the Saint Cloud facility. Ron, our
thoughts are with you and your family and a few extra prayers will
be said. Get Well.
For the second week in a row, Cruiser #39 was picked in the
"Cruise-A-Matic" and Tom Adams wasn't out tonight either so next week we
will have $70 in the offering.
"Lucky Louie" Cruiser #9 took home the $37 50/50.
Bob Berube went home with the "Cruiser of the Week" plaque with his '68
Chevelle.
Here are a few photos.
