This sure has been an unusual fall, we are getting Storm
fronts from the North every other day instead of every 4 days or so. I
am sure this is what gave us a mild hurricane season so far.
I know I sound more like a weather reporter than a
Cruise-In reporter but the weather effects our get togethers.
Most of the regulars including Paul & Tommy, usually the
first to arrive, that was the case tonight. Then Louie in the '52 Ford.
Dan was out in the Orange '41 Willys, Richard didn't have any one of his
T's out but stopped by to say Hi to all. Bert & "Ernie" had the Probe
out. Ron in his Caddy, Don in the 2+2 Mustang just to name a few. Andy
was back from an extended vacation and out in his Caddy. Dennis and
Francine came out to join us. None of the "He Man, Knitters Club", as
Tony calls it, were out so Linda was the lone knitter.
Marianne called to say the she got Sonny's Bar-B-Que to
come back as a sponsor of Thursday Nite event. Maybe even this
event. As usual the Robertson's made us feel at home at the "Square". We
all kept "Bites" busy while we were there.
For those of you who haven't come out on a Wednesday. Join
on in. By 7:30 it looked as though the 20% of rain might have been close
by us to the North so we went to the drawings at 7:30.
Tonight's 50/50 of $40 went home with Charlie Clarke, he
donated $10 back to the cruise. Thanks Charlie. The $50 Cruise-A-Matic
would have gone home with Tom Adams, Cruiser #39, if he would have come
out tonight. So, next week it rolls to $60.
Linda & I took home the "Cruiser of the Week" with our '60 Ranchero,
"Elvira". Thank you.
All present tonight got the official announcement that
"Mustang Mike" took delivery of a new Cruiser today, a 1964 Corvair
Greenbrier 6 door van. He should be debuting it this weekend at Old
Town.
Here are a few photos.
