"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida

In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

May 24th

What a great day for the Cruise-In. The clouds went away just before the event started. "Mustang Mike" was out sick, "Jalopy Jim" filled in once again. Paul & Betty stopped by on the way home with her new '66 Mustang Convertible. Now they both can Cruise or just alternate cars.

The brothers Piazza were not out tonight, nor were Tony & Marianne, hope they are all O.K. The Wookie still didn't have the Buick out. Andy had his Caddy as the Steve & Charlie. Ron had his '53 Chevy. Steve was in the Ranchero. Bert & Ernie were out, Bert had been battling a bit of a respiratory infection, doing much better now. Tony & Sharon were out in their '69 Ranchero. Al rolled in a little later with his Model A. "Cletus" is still not feeling well so Tony & Marlene came out in the Vette, Tony will be taking the Vette on the "Power Tour" and promised us a story and photos daily. Ed & Sherry were parked next to them. Paul, Tommy & Bill were in place. Bob brought out his Camaro. Dan & Liz were with us for a little while, they enjoyed their meal at "Bites" as did, all that partook. Travis asked us what we wanted as the "Special" next week. The vote was for Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes.

Roy from town of Harmony came to visit and formally invite us to their "Flag Day" Celebration on the 10th of June, any one interested see Tony to sign up. Sounds like they have a great day in store. There was something about free Soda and Water along with a Buffet for us.

25 cars made their way to the square. A great night with good friends.

The 50/50 went home with Cruiser #92, Al Wendling, yes again! He is one lucky guy!

We drew twice for the "Cruise-A-Matic" the first person that was not out tonight was Cruiser # 187, Tony Hernandez, he would have gone home with $45. The second cruiser not out was Cruiser #82 Jim Crawford, he was probably Cruising somewhere in PA. He called me last Thursday from one up there. So next week we draw for $65.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home in a 1949 GMC Pickup owned by Cruiser # 192 Curt Lixie.
