"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida

In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

May 17th

It was our weekly trek to the "Square", Magnolia Square to be exact. It has almost been a whole year since our first Cruise-In here. "Mustang Mike" is out of town on a job. He is having "Jalopy Jim" better known as "The Duke of Boston", fill in for him tonight. It was such a great day for this, the weather was great, low humidity, even the grass was "greening" up a bit after yesterday's rain.

More that 30 cars came out, Tony & Marlene said that "Cletus" their '30 Chevy wasn't feeling to good so they came out to eat with out him. Ed was back, so he and Sherry had the Vette out. Steve & Charley had the Yellow Coupe deVille, Andy had his deVille out as well. The Wookie brought out his Mustang, No Buick yet? Roy and Ron had their Chevy's out. Ron Hood had the '53 parked next to our Ranchero, Tony & Sharon had "Lucy" on the other side. Steve & Cheryl brought out the Real Steel '27, that's right she rode out in it! Good to see them back from their trip to Hungary. Paul & Betty had the Mustang in it's place of honor. Of Course Paul, Tommy & Bill heckled from their usual spot. John & Grandson Dustin had out the '67 Capri. Jeff had his Fireo out tonight, the Corvair just didn't want to stay running, Jeff, you need to drive them once and a while. Jack had "Old Yeller", his '39 Model A Sport Coupe parked next to Tony & Marianne's Monte Carlo. The brother's Piazza were with us and even Francis was out. Big Jim brought out his Rear Wheel Drive Pro-Street Beretta, always a crowd pleaser.

Funny thing, it almost takes me as long to write about this stuff as it does to be there. I have to do it right away so I don't forget anything. I am sure I did. Hard to mention everything that is going on with so many friends around.

Chris, our host, made us all feel welcome, Travis had his kitchen turning out all the food that this group ordered. Once again a great night with good friends.

Bill Khoenle had the winning ticket for the $46 50/50.

The drum with the "Cruise-A-Matic" numbers in it was still in the trailer so we could not draw for it tonight. Next week we will draw for the $45 then if no winner we will draw for $55. (If there is a winner for the $45 we will draw for $10).

Gary & Wanda Thompson, Cruiser #166 took home "Cruiser of the Week" with their '55 Chevy. "Remember When".

here are a few photos
