With a 40% chance of rain, we still ventured out to the "Square".
There were "Black Clouds" to the East. I am sure this is the reason that the
Cruise-In started out so slowly. Mustang Mike rolled in just before 4:30, Paul
had beat him so he had to wait for the "Cruiser of the Month" parking spot to be
come available.
I know we mention all of the sponsors and
supporters elsewhere in the newsletter but I will make a special point in doing
so here as well. Saint Cloud "Bites", Beef O'Bradys, Action Gator Tires, YUIOP
Internet Services, Crusin'My Name Badges, Duke Davis and :Mustang" Mike. Also a
big Thank You to All of the Cruisers who attend this Cruise-In.
Most of the regulars were in place, Tommy,
Paul and Bill setting in the Front Window. Louie, Andy, Ron, Paul & Betty,
Charlie, The "Wookie", the Wookette and others under the "Overhang". This is
always a good get together. Tony & Marlene stopped in for a while, Tony had to
go in early tonight so they left about 7:00. Sherry came out and visited for a
while too. Ed is still out of town for some Schooling related to his job.
Gordon & Lila Matthews stopped in this
Cruise-In for the first time, Welcome! Greg the "Poinciana Kid" came out for the
first time in a while, they have been working him to hard at Old Town he said,
even Thursdays.
Al in all 22 cars did manage to come out.
Always a good night with good friends. It never did rain.
The 50/50 was $41,
Paul Kemp had the winning ticket. He and Betty were also chosen as the "Cruiser
of the Week", with their '66 Mustang Convert. Hope they bought their lotto
tickets.
Larry Vliet, Cruiser # 42 would have gone home
with the $35 Cruise-A-Matic but he wasn't out tonight, Next week it rolls up to
$45.
