"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"
at "Magnolia Square"

East Highway 192
Saint Cloud, Florida

In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

March 29th

Spring was back with us today. beautiful sunshine and light winds. Tonight should be a big get together. I had a call earlier in the day, Bill mentioned that Trevor, Virginia and he would make the Cruise-In tonight, this is the first time this season. he has meetings on Wednesday Nites normally and Virginia has to work tomorrow.

The night started off a bit slow, Cruisers were stuck in traffic, even "Mustang Mike" didn't make it make it much before 5:00. Beau made his first Wednesday Nite Cruise-In, he of course was brought out by his dad in their '32 Ford Street Rod. Trevor entertained him in his normal fashion.

Those interested, Saturday morning April, 1st, Saint Cloud's "Spring Fling" is taking place. Be there before 8:30Am if you wish to participate in the Parade. If you just want to "Show and Shine" 9:00 is a good time to meet our bunch at the end of Indiana and Lakeshore. "Mustang Mike" will be setting up at 7:30AM. This event should end between 1:00 and 2:00 so those wishing to go to Old town will still have plenty of time to get out there and get a good parking spot.

39 Cars plus "Lucy", Tony & Sharon's '69 Ranchero, in sprit, she should be out of the paint shop any week now. Tony will be Cruising Steve Mc's Ranchero the next few days. All of the regulars that we rely on were out tonight. This drove the 50/50 to $60. "Big John" donated a bunch of items to be given away during the drawings. He brought out a pristine '49 Pontiac Silver Streak tonight. He sure finds some of the best looking cars.

The 50/50 went home with George Crofut, he donated $5 to this newsletter.

John Eckenrode, Cruiser #186 would have gone home with the $40 Cruise-A-Matic, if he would have been out tonight. So the first one in April will be $50.

March "Cruiser of the Month" went to "Lucky" Louie Piazza Cruiser # 9 and his '52 Ford.

Cruiser of the week went to Bobby Simpson, Cruiser # 195 and his '61 Corvair Rampside.

Here are a few photos.
