What a day for this get together, one
couldn't ask for better weather. More than 30 cars and at least 3 or 4
more without Cruisers made it to the "Square".
Duke was already setting under the canopy when we pulled in
about 4:15, then Tommy rolled in with his newest Cruiser. A GMC? wasn't
even Mopar Powered. Great looking truck anyway. Guess he was in for a
bit of a change, every once and a while he slips away from his beloved
Mopars. Paul was the next to arrive. Then we spotted Dan in Liz in a
Hawaiian Orchid colored '53 Corvette! He was being followed closely by
the '41 Willys being piloted by Lenny. Lenny, Ron, Dan & Debby were
visiting from Michigan, they brought the Corvette down to trade for the
Willys. So, this will be the '41's last nite at the "Square". Philip
finally got the water pump repaired in his Camaro. Several Hundred
dollars later. Many cruisers left early for one reason or another,
"Cinderella Dan" the early riser, rolled the '53 Vette on out followed
by the Willys about 7:00. It heads to Michigan on Tuesday.
Reports from Gary & Wanda on the "Remember When" and Tony &
Sharon on "Lucy" were promising. We are still waiting to hear from Lenn
on the Transmission for "Elvira".
With good friends along with "Mustang Mike's" mix of
nostalgic music and "Bites" sandwiches always make Wednesday Nites great
time at the "Square".
At 7:45 Mike started the drawings, the 50?50 of $60 went
home with Philip, should offset the water pump a bit. The
"Cruise-A-Matic" went to Cruiser #16, me! This time I was here! I
donated it all to the Newsletter.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to
Cruiser #209 Jim & Peggy Rouse with their '67 GTO.
Here are a few photos that I got in.
