Linda and I arrived about 4:10, it sure is strange not
seeing "Duke" awaiting us. He is still struggling with his recovery and
is in room 209 at the Osceola Regional Medical Center. Mike rolled in
about 4:40, he has been working in Gainesville do his days have been
very long. Tommy "Two Shoes" was the next Cruiser to arrive in his GMC,
Then Steve Mc in the "Real Steel 27" Model T Street Rod. I couldn't
believe it Paul was like the 3rd one to arrive in his DeSoto. Richard
was even spotted in his '31 Ford Roadster. The Paul & Betty had both of
the Mustang's out. Curt had his GMC, Bill was parked right next to Tommy
with his Blazer. A good turn out with most of the Regulars, Andy and the
Wookie rolled in about the same time. Ed & Sherry had there 'Vette in
it's place of honor and Ed even arranged to stay to the end of the
Cruise-In. He had talked with Tony, that is on the "Power Tour" and
reports he is having a "Blast". I still haven't seen a story yet. Jack
and "Old Yeller" parked next to the '27 T Rod. Ron parked the '58 DelRay
next to Don's Mustang 2+2 in the front row. George rolled his '61 Falcon
in just before 7:00.
Laverne stopped out with Bert's sister and Brother-Law.
Bonita & Hank, Barbra, Bert's mother was with him in the hospital. Bert
still has some surgery to go through and recuperation along with some
rehab. Bert get well! We all miss you at the Cruise-In's. He is in Room
451 at the ORMC.
Tonight's 50/50 of $46 went home with me! I donated it all
to this newsletter.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" of $65 rolled over to $75. Cruiser
#170, Terry & Jane Hawkins were not Cruising tonight.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Tony & Sharon DeBlasio and "Lucy"
