Happy First Anniversary Wednesday
Nite Cruisers!
at this location
It was one of those days that the weatherman said it was
going to rain, after all, Florida is in the afternoon Thundershower
season. The last few years we haven't had them. Instead it waited to
have Hurricanes to give us rain. This might be a good sign. I hate to
always sound like a weatherman but it always sets the stage for what
happens. Today the chance of rain kept most of the "Cruisers" away,
except for a few Die Hards. There were several that came out with out
their Classics, that is always a good thing as well.
Paul, Tommy & Bill were the first to arrive. followed by
Jack in his '59 V-Dub. Old Yeller lost a manifold bolt yesterday after
the Model A'ers meeting and he didn't want to chance driving it out
tonight. Bill had the Blazer parked in it's place of honor tonight. Don
was with us in his Tundra, Ed & Sherry stopped by in the vintage (not
old enough to Cruise) Pickup. Ron & Don were parked up front. Brent came
out in the SL, still working on the interior of the Mustang. Paul &
Betty the "Mustang Twins" came out and announced that they are headed
out on a trip for a few months to visit family and areas of the US that
she had not been to yet. Charlie & Steve were out in the Caddy, Andy
called, he was over at Bert's place helping put in a ramp.
Richard was out in his Pickup, all of his Model T's and A's
were home, He was looking for Ed that I am sure was rained in out
Holopaw. George & Mary rolled in in the "Monte" just about the time the
rain started. Joe & Kay pulled in just before Al in his Model A. Kay was
so happy to have the "Mini Razz" on the road. The fire on the front was
done quite nicely. By this time the rain had started and the Cruise-In
was called. So, no 50/50 or Cruiser of the week.
The news on Duke is not good. Mike let Gertrude know that
they are in our thoughts and prayers.
Here are a few photos before the rain fell and one after it
started.
