What at beautiful day, the Cape was going to attempt to launch a
Delta II Rocket off this evening. It was time to head for the "Square". The
typical "Sea Breeze Popup Storms" were all around inland Florida. We did have a
slight chance of a rain out. By the time Linda and I arrived to the "Square" all
of the clouds that had been around us had disappeared. A Nice Breeze had set in,
looked like a great night for a Cruise-In. "Mustang Mike" arrived about 4:30.
Paul & Tommy rolled in shortly after that. Don came out in his Pickup. Bill was
next to arrive with his Blazer. Tony & Sharon were on their way out in the
regular car. They are going to Cruise Steve Mc's Ranchero for a few days. Steve
rolled his '62 Ranchero in and awaited Cheryl's arrival to pick him up. Ed,
Evelyn, Eddie and Angie were going to go out to eat with them before heading
back up north. Mike (N4HHA) spectator and friend of the Cruise-In's, stopped to
pick up some radio equipment from me and stayed to see the Rocket head into
space, it would be viewed just to the East of us. It did go up right on time.
Then he was back to work.
Gary and Wanda had Taylor and Aubrey with
them, always fun to see those 2 girls. Ron came with the "58 DelRay, then Paul &
Betty came in with Paul's Mustang. Betty's is in the shop getting an Automatic
Transmission. Ed& Sherry had the 'Vette out. Doug & Marlene had their "Vette
out. Cletus is sick again. Fluid leaks. Tony says he will provide us with a
story about his adventures on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Charlie & Steve parked
their Caddy next to Louie's '52 Ford. So it was the "Die Hards that came out
once again. George and his Falcon made it tout just before 7:00 the Wookie was
the last to arrive, but he made it. Still No Buick.
"Duke" has been moved back to the hospital,
more complications. Bert had a little more surgery yesterday. Guys were are
thinking of you and pulling for a speedy recovery. We all miss the 2 of you.
The 50/50 of $35 went home with Cruiser #221

The "Cruise-A-Matic" rolls up to $20 next
week, Cruiser # 105 Greg the "Poinciana Kid", Cruiser #105, wasn't out tonight.

of the Week" went home in Bill and Martie Khoenle's '81 Blazer.
