"Duke" Davis' Wednesday Nite Cruise-In
Brought to you by Saint Cloud "Bites"

East Highway 192

In Memory of C. "Duke" Davis

June 14th

Just about 3;00 the skies looked as though they were going to let it pour. All of the humidity in the air from the Tropical Storm that visited us yesterday was going to cause a bunch of "Sea Breeze" thunderstorms. Linda and I were out early to stop by Dan's house to take a look at his latest '41 Willys, yup you got it, he has traded around again! Steve Mc is on the road delivering the '47 Ford to it's new home. By the time we were don at Dan's the clouds all went away and the Sun came out brightly.

We the arrived at the "Square" just after 4:00, Bill was the next to arrive in his Blazer, he mentioned that Tommy and Paul weren't coming out tonight. Tony DeBlasio, who was to park "Lucy" in the "Cruiser of the Week" spot, had to due his civic duty and was doing Federal jury Duty in Orlando this week. Jack was the next to show up in "Old Yeller" just after Mustang Mike pulled in. Then the Mustang Family, Paul & Betty, rolled in with their 2 convertibles. Charlie and Steve had the deVille just behind Mike's trailer. "Lucky Louie" had his '52 Ford next to them. Don parked his 2+2 Mustang next to the others. After Al came out in his Model A, parking it next to "Old Yeller", it mad that section a Ford Full House. 3 Ponies and 2 A's. George came in with his '61 Falcon coupe and parked next to Jim's GTO. A very small Cruise-In, car wise. The Baja Beetle was the last Cruiser to arrive.

Tommy & Paul used more modern transportation tonight, as did Don Meyers. amd Tim and Tom, So we did have several people out.

"Mustang Mike" gave us the update on "Duke" who was moved to the "Palms" for rehab. Bert's news was a little better than we had heard previously. Get well you two! We all want to see you back out.

The winner of the $28 50/50 was, Al, yup back on his winning streak. The $75 "Cruise-A-Matic" went home with Cruiser #129, Tommy Slaughter.

"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Don Rancourt and his '66 Mustang 2+2.

It turned out to be a very nice night, it never rained during the Cruise-In times.

Here are a few photos.
