Linda and I were both feeling a little better today so we
headed out for the get together at "The Square", "Mustang Mike" made it
just a few minutes before we did. Duke was setting cones. We usually
beat him there but we needed to stop and fuel up the Corvair.
The arrival of the Cruisers was a little slow tonight,
shortly after the Sun set we had 20 cars, and Philip came out in his
daily driver. It was good to see Steve Clarke out with the "New Bumpers"
on that great Yellow Caddy of his. I am still trying to get him to sign
the windshield washer reservoir, the meticulous work he has done on this
car, especially under the hood is a work of art and deserves the
autograph of the artist. One of the main topics of the evening was
the FACACA "Run
to Garlits" that took place last Sunday. Many of the Cruisers that
ventured out were with us tonight.
"Ernie", Laverne Brown, had sad news, her sister passed
away, Laverne, our thoughts are with you. Bert and "Ernie' lead us this
last Sunday on the trip and did a great job of it.
Chris was a little late joining us, he had been at a
convention and waited until the Keynote speaker was done. He once again,
made us all feel very welcome.
Tonight marks the 6th month at this location, Duke, I think
we may have found a home here at "Magnolia Square", Mike, thanks for
playing the fine mix of music, week after week. Thank You to all of the
Die Hards, Bob Berube, Tommy Slaughter, Paul Schwartz, Bill Khoenle, Ron
Adamson, Steve McCullough, Al & Aggie, Gary & Wanda, Tony & Sharon, just
to mention a few, and to those who have joined us in the last few months
for making this a good time every Wednesday Nite.
The 50/50 grew to $50 tonight and was taken home by Dick
Gregory. Tonight's "Cruise-A-Matic" of $30 would have gone home with Jim
& Shirley Crawford, that is if they would have come out, Awwwwww So next
week we will have $40 in the pot.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to
Paul & Pat Schwartz with their '58 DeSoto.
January 2006 "Cruiser
of the Month" went to Steve & Linda Butler.
(Thank You very much)
