Bill's "67 427 Fairlane
I met Bill Dismuke at the
NPD 11th annual Ford and
Mustang Roundup. I know by talking to him and looking at some photos
that he had brought along that he is an avid Muscle car collector and
builder. I did not get the name of the town he was from but I do know
that he has a "Junk Yard" in South Georgia near the Alabama Florida
state lines.
He has been attending this event
for several years and the car he chose to bring down this year was one
of his latest acquisitions. The very rare 427 Fairlane 2 door post car.
This beauty has only 7,00 documented miles on the odometer. He only
knows that it had been repainted and that was all that had been done to
it. This "Original" is in near showroom condition.
Bill has promised me some more
information on it as he learns more about it. He is also going to send
me some photos of other cars that he has now or have had in the past. It
was a very informative time talking with him. He might also have the
rear end that I need for my '60 Falcon Ranchero. I need to get that 3:50
changed out to at least a 3:00 or 2:83, the little 144 in it just works
it's heart out at 55 mph.
