This third outing of the group was the first ever Picnic, the place was
Chisholm Park on the East side of East Lake just off Narcossee Road.
Ed, Evelyn, Jeff and Tara were the first to arrive at the shelter about
9:30 AM. What they found was a totaly trashed facility seems as though
the "Houssins", (the previously scheduled group on Saturday), left the
place in such bad shape that it had to be hosed and scrubbed! It is a
shame people have to treat public facilities like this. Anyway thank you
for cleaning it up before the rest of the participants arrived.
10 Couples and "Mustang Mike" came out. All of the food that was brought
out was fantastic, Ed's Chili was a hit as usual. Edna's Crème Pies were
wonderful! It is to hard to mention all of the delicacies that were
available for our dinning pleasure.
Horseshoes were played and much conversation was the venue of the day.
Tom Adams came out just a few days after his surgery, Good seeing both
Tom and Edna.
Jack and Betty drove their '32 Ford Roadster up from Winter Haven, Bob
Nagro not only brought out his Red "36 Ford, Darlice came with him.
A total of 23 people enjoyed the afternoon in the park. Next month Jack
and Betty will set the Venue for the "Road Trip"
