September 28th
Rain to the North - Rain to the South, even the
East and West! Just a sprinkle came to us at Magnolia Square. 13 cars
eventually made it out and several Cruisers in their Dailey Drivers out.
Including Ed and Sarah, they wanted to sample the bill of fare at
"Bites" or sponsor restaurant.
Most of the Die Hards were there, Louie, Philip,
Tony, Marianne, The Clarks, Ron, "Ice Man", Bill with his Blazer, Ray
with one of his his "Vettes and even a few more! Gary and Wanda parked
their '55 Chevy by the road as sort of a "Billboard" to alert passerby's
that there was in fact a Cruise-In. Al and Aggie came in late with out
their A. John Castle came out but didn't drive anything Yellow. The "Wookies"
brought out their Mustang convertibles.
The rain was just annoying enough that "Mustang
Mike" could not get set up. So this was the biggest Non-Cruise, Cruise
to date. For the record books it was a Rainout. It was still a good
visit with some of the group regardless. No "Cruiser of the Week" was
chosen and we did not have any prize give a ways.
We'll try it again next week, hoping for no rain
once again. What a weird autumn so far. About 7:30 we all started to
leave.
A Big Thank You to Saint Cloud "Bites" and the
Robertson Homes family.
I did take a few photos.....
