October 19th
It was cloudy but the weatherman said that there
was to be only about a 10% chance of rain. Hurricane Wilma was still in
the Caribbean headed towards Florida by the weekend. I think this is why
the Cruise started out a little slow. By 6:30 we had 19 cars and several
Cruisers that came in their Daily Drivers. Bert & Ernie brought out
their new 2006 Blue Chevrolet HHR.
Gary & Wanda both brought out a car tonight,
"Remember When" the black '55 Chevy we all know and a '56 Chevy 4 door
that Gary has been working on.
We did have a little sprinkle at the "Square" but
it really didn't slow us down. Linda and I had a guest with us tonight,
Gabryel our 2 1/2 year old grandson. He entertained every one with his
"Cone Antics" some games he made up with the parking cones, with the
help of Chris. I did take several photos of him, sorry but I could not
resist. I know if he would have picked a "Cruiser of the Week" it would
have been Paul's '58 DeSoto. He liked the big shiny bumpers. At the end
of the Cruise-In as Paul was leaving, he said no! Linda told him that it
was time for Paul to go home. Gabryel replied "Oh, Man!"
There were model A's and just about everything
else, Steve and Andy had their great Cadillacs on display. The Wookies
had the Mustangs, Tommy had his '56 Belvedere and Bill had his '81
Blazer. I know I missed a few people, but it was a great little
get-together.
The 50/50 was $31.00, Jimmy Brown had the winning
ticket and went home with $21.00 of it after he donated $10.00 back. The
$70.00 "Cruise-A-Matic" would have gone home with Jeff Kough Cruiser #
106, that is if he would have come out tonight. So next week it rolls up
to $80.00
The "Robertson Homes" Cruiser of the Week" went to
Cruiser
#10 Ed "the Wookie" Guglich, formerly know as Eddie Flames with his
'83 Mustang "Heartbreaker".
A big Thank You to Chris Robertson,
our host and the "Robertson Homes" family.
Here are a few photos.

Congratulations to all! See you out there "Crusin'"
