January 19th
Once again a quick change of Venue
has overcome our little “Family”. Sam was asked for his resignation at
the “Red Fire Grille”, they owners thought they could keep the business
that he built for them. The Saturday Nite Bike nite and our Cruise-In.
Without giving them or us any support. “Mustang Mike” and Duke made the
decision to follow Sam over to the new Venue. We just wished we had a
little more time to get a hold of all of the Cruisers. Mike, Duke and
myself called and e-mailed those that we had good information on. We did
have 24 cars make it to our first night at the “Tropical Steak and
Seafood, Bar and Grill”, Teddy and the gang made us all feel very
welcome and opened up the place for us to eat the Pizza that we ordered
in. The “Grill” opens Friday and Teddy assured us that we would have a
full service Bar & Grill for our very next Cruise.
Craig and Jim
“The Dukes”
stopped by to entertain, but Mike had a few technical difficulties with
his “sound Board” and they just had to visit with us. It was quite cold
but the friendship was just as warm as ever. Once we get the parking
figured out this might be just as good a venue as any other. I think we
should adopt the name that Linda suggested, the “Wednesday Nite Nomads”
or I guess we will keep the “Wednesday Nite Cruise-In at the Grill” I am
sure we will be at a place that has one!
Linda helped serve the Pizza to those
that “Chipped In” so that all that did, got what they ordered.
The 50/50 was won by Andy (Cruiser
#6) but he left $20 of the $50 for next weeks Cruise. Thanks Andy.
The Trivia Question was won by Walter
Yarwood (Cruiser #65). His first Cruise back from up north.
We would like to thank Pauline and Thom Calabro (Cruiser #96) for
bumping up the Cruise-A-Matic to $40 as they were not here to claim $20
tonight.
Sam spent some time thanking us all
for coming out and supporting him by coming over to this new venue and
added that we get a 25% discount on meals when the Bar & Grill opens
up!
Now onto “Cruiser of the Week” second
place went to “Frenchie” Grenier Cruiser #21), Runner up went to Tony
and Marianne DeGennaro (Cruiser #11) with their ‘86 Monte Carlo. The
“Wookie” Eddie “Flames” & Chris Guglich (Cruiser #10) took home top
honors! Congratulations to all!

See you tomorrow night at the Thursday Nite Cruise-In
