January 12th
44 Cars!
we had to put cars in places where there were no
places! The lighting that is to be put in, where the Tennis Courts are,
has not been completed yet. We did have to park cars there anyway.
"The Dukes"
stopped in and sang us a few numbers, Thank you, Jim and Craig!
9 new Cruisers joined us tonight that brings the
total to 111 registered for this event.
Sam made a few changes to the awards tonight.
"Cruiser of the Month" would now take home the 5' Trophy and $300 in
cash. 2nd Place was $100 and 3rd $100, he thought this would be more
fair than 1 big one of $500.
The 50/50 of $115 went to Tara Kough (Cruiser #106)
first time cruisers at this event.
"Cruiser of the Week" went home with Cruiser #20
Clarence and Carmin Elder with his '39 Mercury convertible.
The trivia question was answered by Ernie Calardo
Cruiser #102 (first Cruise-In).
Clyde Lopez (Cruiser #44) had the Weiss' (Cruiser
#37) pick up a "Surprise" birthday cake for his wife, Kathleen as
tonight was her Birthday! enough for for everyone
"The Dukes"
sang her a special song. This is just one big family and thank you to
the Lopez' for sharing this with us.
Roy Perkins (Cruiser # 87) was not present to take
home the Cruise-A-Matic, Awwwwwwwwwwwwww! So next week it rolls up to
$40.
"Cruiser of the Month" the 5' Trophy and the
$300 went to Andy Billitteri (Cruiser # 6) and his '79 Caddy
2nd place and $100 went to Mike and Carol Weiss
(Cruiser #37) and their '54 Hudson
3rd Place went to Tony and Marianne DeGennaro
(Cruiser #11) and their '86 Monte Carlo
Congratulations to all!
Sam has had to move the Next Big one from April to
June, but has increased the Prize booty to $2,000 details to follow. So
make this cruise a regular for you, participation is a key factor in
winning these awards.

See you tomorrow night at the Thursday Nite Cruise-In
