Lots of rain and up to quarter sized hail pelted Central Florida, by
3:00PM most of it had passed us by, when the gates opened back up at
5:00 it was almost a constant flow of cars coming in right up 8:00. Mike
Singer was on Old Town Radio and "3D" came on stage a 7:00PM and rocked
the crowd right up to 11:00.
At 8:30 the Hine Junior High Marching band let the
cruise of 154 cars up "Deac Hundley Blvd." to what looked to me, a
record crowd of spectators this Holiday Weekend.
The Parking and security staff needed to have water
wings to get all of the spectators a spot to park, the over flow parking
was nearly underwater. It actually was a good thing that "Trophy Row"
was not at capacity. This gave the large crowd a fairly dry place to
park.
I did not take to many photos today, I lost the light
before most of the cars had entered "Trophy Row".
Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag"
along with $25 cash, a case of Valvoline 20W50 Racing Oil and a drink from
the Tropical Breeze The $50 Cruise-O-Matic was not won so next week it is
up to $50.
Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
