June 18th

Here we go again, the weatherman calling for rain. We made it to Old Town about 2:30 and there were not many cars on "Trophy Row" yet, it looked like rain. Steve Mc brought out "Murphy" his '62 Ranchero that he had just finished up putting a 302 "Crate Motor" in. This was it's first time at Old Town with the new motor. It was good seeing the Blue and White Falcon out.

Ron and Shirley Hood along with Mary, made it out with the "53 Chevy tonight, they have been in Georgia for the last several weeks. Good seeing them and that Chevy!

Gregg from "Wolfman's Rod Shop" brought out the trailer and the '48 Ford Pick up. that made the tour to Wisconsin then back to Kissimmee with "Hot Rod" magazine's "Power Tour 2005®". Old Town's fire truck was on display in block 3 on "Trophy Row"

We were at lunch from 4:00 to 5:00 and there wasn't much of a line to get in the gates. By 6:00 the weather cleared up and the cars coming on to "Trophy Row" kept rolling in right up to the 8:00 cutoff.

Craig and Jim "daDukes" were performing on the corner by the A&W from about 6:00. Always a good show to see.

The Florida Chapter of the "AACA" had several cars displayed on "Deac Hundley Blvd".

Then they came, filling the spectator parking lots.... Thousands of them, to watch this 15 year spectacle Old Town's "Saturday Nite Cruise®". These spectators were not disappointed as the 200 plus cars turned on to the "Bricks" by "Kids Town" lead by Tom Staggs in his '69 Olds 442, June's "Cruiser of the Month". Followed closely by the members of the "AACA", then all of the other "Cruisers" that had been on display all day on "Trophy Row"

That's it for this week. On to tonight's flag winners....

Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag" along with $25 cash, a case of Valvoline 20W50 Racing Oil and a drink from the Tropical Breeze The $50 Cruise-O-Matic was not won so next week it is up to $50.

Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
