Absolutely no charge for the "touch free" rain soft car washes today.
Mike T. arranged for several of them as the feeder bands of "Dennis" was
churning up the Gulf of Mexico on his way to Florida's Panhandle. A
rainy day at this event only means a few less cars. The Family of Die
Hards" seem to be growing. Saturday means a day at Old Town and that is
it!
The rain came and went. then again, then some more.
Deac Hundley Blvd. was once again a "NO WAKE ZONE".
51 cars still made that turn from "Kids Town" on the
the bricks at 8:30 lead by this month's "Cruiser of the Month" Rodney
Buckingham in his '69 Plymouth Roadrunner. The spectators were not
disappointed or even dampened in spirit by the rain that had fallen all
day. Just to see these great examples of "Rolling American History" idle
by them brought many smiles, waves and cheers as the cars motored past
them.
Even if it rains, it really never rains at Old Town
on a Saturday Nite.
On to tonight's flag winners....
Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag"
along with $25 cash, a case of Valvoline 20W50 Racing Oil and a drink from
