The last Cruise of July. The afternoon showers were all around us, just
a little rain fell on "Trophy Row", like always it does keep a few cars
from coming out. Not the "Die Hards" or the Rain or Shiners" like Bob
Burke who brings out his great looking '72 GMC Pickup, that by the way
is a daily driver that he uses in his Bass Fishing Guide Business. He
even took home a Checkered Flag tonight. The Original Don Johnson seems
to take home a flag when ever it rains! He drives a Black and Green '50
Ford Crestliner, always a crowd pleaser.
"Viva" rocked the main stage area from 7:00 and of course Old Town radio
played many of our favorite tunes. Louie Zibrin brought out his "Vette
today, no wait it looked more like a '64 Nova wagon. Great looking car.
We took the safe route again tonight and did not hit the bricks of "Deac
Hundley Blvd." we are still waiting on clutch parts. Trying to keep
"Formation" during the parade is not the place to have a dodgy clutch.
This did allow me to get some Photos that I would not normally get. So
included in them I have many of the "Flag Winners" cars as the turned
the corner for the trip to "Kids Town".
As always, Old Town is a great place to spend a Saturday at. The
merchants and restaurants are always glad to see you.
On to tonight's flag winners....
Tonight's random drawing winners that and received the coveted "Old Town Checkered Flag"
along with $25 cash, a case of Valvoline 20W50 Racing Oil and a drink from
the Tropical Breeze The $50 Cruise-O-Matic was not won so next week it is
up to $50. 1 of these 9 lucky
winners receive $100 Old Town Cash instead of the regular prize booty.
Congratulations to the Checkered Flag Winners!
