Even though the weatherman was saying all week long that is was going to
be a Rainy Saturday almost 200 cars came out to Cruise down "Deac
Hundley Blvd." at 8:30 tonight.
"Still Kicking" was rocking the center stage, Jim, Craig and Angel of
"The Dukes of
Harmony" were on the corner by the A&W, in their Audience were Pep
and Nancy the founders of their fan club along with many fans and Mike
Singer was entertaining us via "Old Town" radio. Thousands of spectators
from all over the world came out to view this weekly event now into it's
15th year.
Mike T. had a cousin in from Wisconsin, a very nice re-union for them as
they had not seen each other for some 20 years. The "cruised" with
Double "D", Dave Dean in his Red Mustang Convertible. As usual the
thousands of spectators lined the sidewalk and Boulevard along "Deac
Hundley Blvd". They cheered on their favorite cruisers that they had
spent time with along "Trophy Row" during the day.
During the closing ceremony Steve Reise, January's Cruiser of the month
received his special jacket from the sponsors. Congratulations!
Once again I have to thank Mike T., Mr. Bill, Ron, Lisa and the rest of
the "Cruiser Staff' for yet another Great Saturday at Old Town.
Here are tonight's Checkered Flag Winners.
