December 24th

That's right, Christmas Eve at Old Town, Mike T. was back from his little trip to Tennessee, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and cookies were served to all that wanted partake. Santa was due to arrive later with Mrs. Claus and at least one of his elves.

Linda and I arrived around 1:45 with Steve McCullough following just behind us in his '62 Ranchero, first time back to Old Town after a bit of transmission repair. As we entered "Trophy Row" it looked to be a bit more populated than last week. Some of the Die Hards were parked in their "Regular Spots" so we decided to go back to Block 4 where we usually go.

The spectators seemed to be limited to mostly tourists from the U.K. I am sure most of the locals were at home getting ready for Christmas and spending time with family as did many of the "Cruisers" tonight. The Christmas spirit was enhanced by the unusual mix of Tunes that Mike Singer was playing over "Old Town" radio. The shops were quite busy with last minute shoppers, the Old Town Cruise Staff was cut down in size once it looked like it was going to be a smaller cruise tonight. Reunion came to the main stage at 7:00PM to the delight of the crowd as well as the "Old Town Dancers".

At 8:32, 110 cars lead by Ben Franklin, Cruiser of the Month, rolled past "Kids Town" to the parade route up the West Side of "Deac Hundley Blvd." The crowd was not as large as a regular Saturday Nite but it seemed much more enthusiastic that normal. Yet again, another good time with good friends! Thanks to Mike T., Joe R. Mr Bill, Miss Lisa and the rest of the staff on beautiful Christmas Eve.
