September 8th
Well, it was windy and cloudy when we arrived at
the parking lot by the Sonic. Ophelia just gained strength to be a
Hurricane sitting just 60 miles from Cape Canaveral. It is still
expected not to head towards us but it is just setting there and
spinning.
The Saint Cloud Fire and Police departments had set
up near our cruise area earlier in the day to collect for Hurricane
relief for the gulf coast. They were loading up a few trucks with a
steady stream of people donating items.
Joe Hanson stopped out to join us tonight, to bad
it ended up being a rain out. Only about 9 other cruisers made it out.
This weather and the price of gas kept most away.
George Boynton showed up with his black Cornet, we
haven't seem him in a few weeks.
Bob and Ron made it out, even got to park right up
front. We left about 6:00 when it started to rain. It was reported that
the rain never stopped today up by the Old Mill Stream or out in
Hollowpaw. Tony DeBlasio saw us headed for home when he called to
confirm that the "Cruise-In" had been called a "Rainout". As it was
indeed.
Let's just hope that Ophelia moves on out so that
we might get back to cruising.
"Mustang Mike" is looking for a volunteer for The
Halloween Cruise. Stop by and let him know if you would like to be
involved.
Here a few photos.

See you next week.
