September 29th
The day started off all Sunny! Well it seems that
maybe this was only at our house. Then not. This Florida weather this
year really is hard to figure. It is suppose to be Autumn and it was
once again in the 90's.This means the weather pattern was like a normal
Summer one. It was bound to rain somewhere.
After I washed both of our Cruisers, I was on the
phone and IM with other Cruisers wondering trying to guess just what the
weather was gong to do. With this in mind we headed out to Sonic in
Saint Cloud. There were some dark clouds all around but it looked like
it was clear over "Our" part of the parking lot at Wal-Mart next to the
Sonic.
The Cruise-In started out rather slow, then I think
most people just plan decided that they wanted to Cruise! By the closing
ceremonies we had more than 75 cars that joined in with us. Including
lots of Corvettes with "Mid-Florida Corvettes". they have been coming
out for the last Cruise-In of the month in force the last few months.
Bob Nagro was parked in the "Cruiser of the Week"
spot tonight as there really wasn't a Cruise-In last week. It was once
again announced that Sharon DeBlasio was heading up the "Bake Sale" for
the Halloween Cruise. Please, if you would like to be involved get on
her list.
It sure was nice seeing all the cars out tonight,
it is such a diverse bunch of Automobiles as well as People. Big John
had his flavor of the week out as usual, this week it was a great
looking '57 Chevy Belair. We never quite know what he is going to have
out. Big Jim and Norma brought out the Pro-Street Ranchero, Steve &
Cheryl had their '63 Ranchero parked in his normal spot. Tony and Sharon
had the '69 Red 390 Ranchero out too. Tom and Edna Adams had out that
great 8 door Greenbrier out tonight. There were just do many great cars
out it would take me all night to mention them. You just have to make
sure that you make the Cruise-In to appreciate them all. Everything from
Model A's that The Wendling's and Hood's dove out. To a Anniversary
Model Limited Edition Thunderbird that Jim DiCecco brought to the
Cruise-In.
Jim & Craig "The
Dukes" stopped by and sang us a few
songs, they had available their latest CD. They autographed many for the
Cruisers that purchased them. These guys are really fans of their fans!
Thanks guys.
The 50/50 of $118 went home with Greg Cordero
Cruiser 603, well most of it did anyway, he donated back $20 to next
weeks prize fund.
The Trivia Question was answered correctly by Al
Wendling, he received the $10 Beef O'Brady's certificate.
The $225 "Cruise-A-Matic" grows to $250 next week
because Greg Lindburg Cruiser # 437 was not present tonight. Awwwwww.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to Cruiser # 632 Ed &
Evelyn Booher with their '63 Corvair Convertible.
Just remember, Mud Daubers build nest very quickly
and they like hoses and pipes, even in float assemblies.
Dan Z. Not the J!
Here are a few photos from tonight.

Congratulations to all the winners and see you at
the "AutoZone" Saturday Morning! Then of course out to Old Town...
