November 10th
Tonight's Cruise-In was dedicated to Tommy
Slaughter, Cruiser #1 in memory of Carol his beloved wife that passed
away on Tuesday,
Tommy, remember you are part of this family too, we look forward
to having you back out with us, in the mean time our thoughts are with
you and your family.
The weather could not have been much better for
this Saint Cloud tradition. "Big Jim" rolled in before dark with his '67
Pro-Street that he has owned since it was new. This is quite a shock to
see him out in the daylight. I had to quick run up and take a few
pictures. The sun was very low in the sky now that fall has fallen up on
us. Good to see you out early.
Our section of the parking lot started to fill up
real early, one reason was that some one left a motor home parked in the
prime parking spots. It was to be an eyesore all night long. This really
fouls up what would have been a very impressive display of cars in the
front lane.
The Crawford's came out tonight, Jim was driving a
walker, this is the result of his encounter with the snake last week.
Not a good idea to step back when you are on a ladder. He was in good
spirits. Hoping to get rid of the walker as soon as he can.
Wally Yarwood was with Ed & Cheryl tonight, he
should be with us all month long.
"Mustang Mike" reported that the "Osceola
Children's home and Youth Center" has mailed us the list of names and
gift ideas for the tree that should be on display next week. Mike is on
the committee for the Saint Cloud Christmas parade and has a sign up
sheet for all that would like to participate on December 3rd at 10:00AM.
We need at least 7 convertibles for VIPs. All are Cruisers Welcome but
you must sign up.
96 cars built the 50/50 to $115. Jim Crawford had
the winning ticket. He donated $10 to the Newsletter.
Cruiser #280 Rolland Rousseau did not bring out his
'48 V8 powered VW tonight, awwwwww, so next week the "Cruise-A-Matic"
rolls up to $75.
Tonight's "Cruiser of the Week" and the Trivia
winner, taking home the $10 Beef O'Brady's gift certificate, was Tom
Adams, Cruiser #241, with his 1966 Corvair Monza.
See you at the FACACA lunch meeting at the Holopaw
restaurant on Sunday at 11:00AM.
Here are the photos I could get in before dark.

Congratulations to the winners.
See you Saturday Nite at Old Town.
