With overcast skies it looked as though it may have been a smaller
Cruise-In. By about 6:30 the car count was above 110 and growing. There
were a couple of unusual sights. Corvettes and more Corvettes. More than
20 across the front row with many more mixed in. Then there were 3 Round
Body Falcon Ranchero's lined up in Row 2 right next to "Plain Jane" a
'68 Ranchero. "Dirty Mike" brought out his '61 Pro-Street and it sure
made our "60 stock Ranchero look pretty whimpy!
Even "ViarVille's" population was up a bit. With Tom & Edna's great Late
Model, Ron's Blue '64 Convertible and Ed & Evelyn's '63 Aqua
Convertible.
"Doc" had his '30 Chevrolet Street Rod Pickup out tonight. Coach had his
Blue Mopar in it's regular spot and Just to the East of DeSotoville was
Paul with his great '58 DeSoto. It would take many more paragraphs to
mention all of the Great Cars that were on display,
Patrick from
Classic Coachworks from Mt. Dora had out a beautiful Black '69
Camaro that they had just completed. They gave a $20 Raffle prize
tonight and will be come sponsors in our Newsletter. Welcome!
Once again Gregg Nelson Stumped the gang with his trivia Question. So the
$10 Beef O'Bradys went into the regular Prize Booty.
The 50/50 of $139 was won by Steve Clarke Cruiser# 157, he gave back $20
to perpetuate the Cruise-In.
Tonight we had a "Cruise-A-Matic" winner, Duke Davis Cruiser#96, he won
the $175 but he donated $150 to the Children's Home and $25 to subsidize
the printing of the newsletter.
The Donation Can for the printing of the newsletter had $20 in it, Thank
You Cruisers, we sure enjoy bringing this letter to you. Hopefully soon
we will have enough advertisers to keep it going. (This has been coming
out of my pocket for the last several weeks.)
This weeks "Cruiser of the Week" went to Greg 'Wax" Bowers with his 1970
Chevy Nova SS.
Congratulations to all of the winners and Thank you for all of the support
tonight.
On to a few photos ....

See you at Old Town Saturday Nite!
