The weatherman had us at a 90% chance of rain, it rained very hard in
the morning but the afternoon brought us some sunshine. This is usually
mother natures way of telling us that there will be more rain in the
evening. She tricked us again! 48 of the regular "Die Hards" came out
tonight to Cruise-In anyway, after all it was the 5th Anniversary of
this event here in the Wal-Mart parking lot right next to the Sonic.
John B. even brought out his Slick 51 the Old Pickup that we have not
seen in such a long time. "Mustang Mike" gave out T-Shirts from last
years annual and announced that maybe we will try and put some sort of
event together in the Fall, to commemorate this 5th year, that way the
"Snow Birds" can join in. The weather is also a little more predictable.
The trivia question was answered correctly by many, (it was a little
easier this week) but the first to give the answer to me was Bill K.
Cruiser #124.
The 50/50, of $94.00 was taken home by "Chris" or regular Shopper that
gets us 10% more for our money at Wal-Mart but not until after she gave
us $20 back for next week, Thank You!
Next week "DeSotoville moves in front of the trailer once again this
year as another great DeSoto, this Pink and White 1955 Firedome owned by
Gordon and Lila Mathews was chosen as "Cruiser of the Week"
That's it for tonight, see you all out at Old Town for the 15th
Anniversary of the Saturday Nite Cruise® on the 4th~!
On to some photos
