At the start Cruise most of us were standing around trying to figure out
what that bright object was up there in the sky, well I guess it doesn't
take very long to forget! Well 4 Rain Outs in a row is a long time, It
was really the SUN. It was also HOT but I will take that over wet
anytime.
It started out a little slow but the cars kept coming in. As the night
drew on and the breeze came in so did the cars. Bill and Jeanne stopped
in for a while. Good seeing them again. Seems as though they will be
leaving us and relocating to The Carolina's.
It is time again to start asking people to get involved in some of the
"Fun Things" that we have done in the past. The Bake Sales, Valentines
Day things. We have had a year off from them and this fall we would like
to start putting them back together, so we are looking for someone to
work with Mike and the News staff to start putting together some events.
I am sure that we have the people out there to make it work. Please let
Mustang Mike or myself if you are interested.
Onto tonight's Cruise-In, 52 cars came out, we even had a few "New
Cruisers" sign up to join in. Several Cruisers without cars stopped by
to visit with all. Ron H. from Old Town even came by to see us. Craig
and Jim stopped by and sang us a few numbers, it really seemed like a
"Cruise" again". Thanks guys! Your songs are always a special treat.
The Trivia Question prize went to Bob Negro.
The $87 50/50 went to one of our newest Cruising Couples. Tony and
Sharon DeBlasio, they brought out their 1969 Ranchero tonight.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to Don and Pat Alexander with their "Mint
Dream Cicle" '55 Chevy Belair 2Dr.
The "Cruise-A-Matic" climbs to $75 next week. Joe Ramondi Cruiser #579
was drawn. As far as we know he is sans car at this time and he wasn't
at the Cruise. However his old car was but it is now owned by Tommy
Slaughter Cruiser #1.
Congratulations to the winners!
On to a few Photos.
