From 4:30 to about 5:15 is looked like a 3 ring circus! George, Duke,
Steve McC, Mustang Mike and myself were chasing the cones all over the
parking lot! The wind kept blowing them all over, even after we doubled
them up. So being the Rocket Scientist that we are, we gave in and put
them away.
It was to get down to 38 degrees tonight, at 5:30 it was still very warm
but windy. The "Cruisers" came in very slowly, many after the Sun went
down. We did have 60 cars show up even with the cold setting in.
Richard and Carol Fortner brought out their '24 Model T, Wooden bodied
Delivery on it's maiden voyage. All of the Model A guys loved playing
with his "Moo" horn.
Ed Malloy was the first to answer the trivia question. The
"Cruise-A-Matic" roils up to $75.00 next week because Cruiser # 578,
Gary Bennett was not here to claim it.
Tonight's 50/50 of $102 went home with Al Santiago after he gave $10 back
or next weeks drawing.
"Cruiser of the Week" went to Bob Berube, Cruiser #622 and his '71 Camaro
Z-28.
Larry Lethby of Ontario Canada joined in with us tonight, his Green 1940,
flathead powered coupe had been admired by the Stowells' this summer up
in Niagara Falls this last 4th of July at a Cruise-In at a Wal-Mart!
Welcome back to Bill Ashe, another one of our "Canadian" Cruisers, it's
great to see you and that Pontiac convertible.
Here are the photos I took, not to many cars before the Sun went down.
