December 8th
RAINOUT! However 14 Cruisers, even 3 with
Cars made it to the "Sonic" this little get together lasted until 8:00PM
anyway. It gave "Mustang Mike" and the ones that were out tonight to
help Tony, our new events director, sketch out a few things for next
years calendar.
Linda and I were the first to arrive,
followed by Trevor, oh yeah Bill & Virginia brought him out in the old
Dodge. Ed & Evelyn ventured out their muddy road a little later. Tony &
Sharon came about 6;30. Henry had his Baja VW parked under the canopy as
well. Jerry & Judy Lane stopped by to "Give a little" to the kids. Don
Petty stopped by for a while and chatted a bit. For a non Cruise there
were still a few "Die Hards" that at least came out to get the
newsletter.
Whenever we have a rainout you should be
able to find Mike, Linda or myself under the canopy at "Sonic" at least
until 6:00PM.
It was decided, because of the lateness
and tonight's Rainout that any monies collected for the "Kids" would be
used to buy a TV for the facility. The more we collect next week the
larger the screen.
Next year we worked out a few "Thursday
Nite" events.
February 9th: will be the Valentines Day
Cruiser and "Sweets" Bake Sale, Monies collected will go towards future
events and the Annual Cruise-In, currently slated for late Sept. Early
October, dates to follow as soon as we get confirmation from Heritage
Park.
April 27th: "Spring Thing" a covered dish,
bake sale, cookout. Details to follow.
Late September early October" 5th and 6th
Annual Cruise-In and car show. Details to follow. Monies to be donated
to a Charity that will be determined at a later date. We are working on
a new charity to get involved with.
October 26th: Annual Halloween Cruise.
On a side note, Tony DeBlasio became
another "Crusin' Ham" he passed his examination for Technician Class
Amateur Radio operator last night. Congratulations, Tony!
So there are a few things for all of us to
do on a Thursday Nite, No Give aways - No 50/50 - No Trivia contest and
no new "Cruiser of the Week". Sure hope next week is a little dryer.

See you at Old Town Saturday Nite.
