What can I say? It looked like it was going to be a great night for a
Cruise-In. Yes it was a little hot, remember I like it hot, some don't.
Jeff and Martha were the first to arrive, just after 4:30, Jeff is still
working on the car but they still like to make it out. Ron Simons was
one of the first ones to arrive, with that 460 Ford powered '41 Packard.
He staked out a spot in the shade. The "Schwartz" was with us early as
well. He couldn't get his favorite spot because that Jeep was parked
under his little shade tree. Tommy Slaughter arrived soon after to join
Paul, Don, Jeff, Martha and the rest of the gang under that little tree.
Tommy passed along tonight that Carol wanted to thank all of the
"Cruisers" for the kind words and support through out her illness. She's
not out of the woods yet but doing better.
Craig and Jim were going to sing us a few numbers tonight, that sure
would have been nice.
After about 30 cars made it to the parking lot at the Wal-Mart the sky
started to "Blacken" a bit. Some lightening and thunder could be seen
and then at about 10 to 7 the skies opened up and it started to rain.
Many "Cruisers" loaded up and moved on out. Several of us went to ride
it out under the canopy at the Sonic. "Mustang Mike" joined us after he
put away the speakers. He thinks he might have shrunk a bit from getting
wet.
The 15 or so of us sat at the Sonic until about 7:45 when the rain
finally stopped. Sure it was a rain out but Mike took the time to meet
some of the new "Cruisers" and all had a good time regardless.
We are all winners but no one took home any prizes tonight, But Paul
Schwartz won the Trivia Question, so the "Cruise-A-Matic" remains at
$175 and any tickets purchased tonight will carry over until next week.
Only 3 photos tonight.

See you at Old Town for the "Saturday Nite Cruise"
Remember the Wednesday Nite Cruise-In has moved to "Magnolia Square",
1700 East Irlo Bronson in Saint Cloud.
