| The
Florida Automotive Industry Association, Golden Anniversary "Show and
Shine". This was the first car show that this organization put on. The
Cruisers were there for the enjoyment of the delegates of the
convention. At one time it was up to 25
cars. The Prize booty was a good one. Mustang Mike and the Cruisers that
stayed "Made the Best of It". It was a noble attempt and I am sure if
the FAIA ever decide to have another they will contact Mike more than 30
days out. It was kind of like our own little desert right in the middle
of a swamp!
It was not only inconvenient for the cruisers,
it was a PIA for the conventioneers to traverse the long and winding
paths to the area where we were. No facilities - No onsite eats (OK
there were Drinks and Snack Crackers for us at no charge). However we
had a good time.
Craig and
Jim of the "Dukes
of Harmony" came out to join us. The sang several songs and Traveled
from tent to tent wile singing. Then the magic hour.... 4:00 PM we all
got invited into the table display area , in the convention room for the
drawings and some eats!
The treatment we got there was great, kind of
makes up for some of the problems we encountered "On The Lot"
Prize winners included
Don Waszak, Emma Nelson, Steve Clarke, Scott
Waszak
Many of the regular Wed - Thursday Nite Cruisers
made up the majority of the group.

See you at the

Nite Cruise!
